I've always had little pieces of original melody pop out at the
strangest times. A few years ago I starting trying to remember them and
create cohesive tunes out of them. Some of the following tunes popped
out all at once at a jam and I played them until everyone had picked
them up. For others I've had a germ of an idea for a while and thrown
out a few false starts before being satisfied. Still others I'd written
a while back and played regularly, but when I went back to the written
version I realized it had evolved, so I updated the written music.
